About Tulsa
Tulsa’s journey began alongside Reno in the Ouachita National Forest in Oklahoma, where she was found trying to survive while scavenging for food on the roadside. She arrived at HUA in tough condition, suffering from a severe flea and tick infestation that had taken a toll on her skin and overall comfort. After spending a few weeks recovering and receiving the care she needed, Tulsa began to feel relief and slowly regain her strength. At first, she was extremely shy and unsure, keeping her distance as she adjusted to a new and unfamiliar environment. With patience and gentle reassurance, Tulsa has started to show her softer side, revealing a quiet, sweet nature beneath her timid exterior. She is still building confidence but continues to make steady progress each day. Tulsa would do best in a home with another confident dog who can help her feel safe and show her the ropes as she continues to blossom.
