He came in alongside a group of dogs with similar feral backgrounds and is still learning how to feel safe in a home environment. Santiago is a flight risk and will need a secure, fenced-in yard where he can explore without worry. He is not comfortable with handling and is searching for a calm household that appreciates quiet companionship and respectful co-existence. With patience and steady routines, his confidence can continue to grow over time. Santiago may prefer space over snuggles, but his gentle presence brings a unique kind of connection.
