Meet Lester

Lester has been at HUA since May 23, 2020. He was pulled from a high intake shelter in Texas, and we have been grateful every day since that this lovely boy’s life was saved. We have no idea why dear Lester has not found his own home. He is a most loving, smart, loyal, devoted, playful and happy dog who adores humans beyond words. When Lester sees his favorite volunteers arriving for a visit, he loses his mind. His joy knows no bounds. He is a superior hugger, made even nicer because he is not a jumper. He is a wonderful leash walker and is always excited to run free in the big yards, but he always makes sure to check on his humans to ensure they are still in his orbit. Once he is done exploring, Lester sits nicely asking, “OK – what do we do next?” For Lester, everything is about spending time with people and loving every second of it. He does not necessarily care for the company of other dogs because he is so tuned in to humans. Lester is the guy who will greet his family members at the door with shock, awe, delight and gratitude upon their return. He is a leaner and a lover, and he will forever be cherished by the lucky folks who give him a home.
