About Chappy

Chappy B is a big, fluffy Saint Bernard/Husky mix who came to HUA after being found in Texas with a serious front limb injury. This resulted in a full leg amputation. Despite a tough start and many attempts at braces and prosthetics, this happy-go-lucky boy has chosen to live life on his own terms. He’s carefree and focused on what he loves most: people. Chappy is incredibly affectionate and forms strong bonds with his humans. He may have some mobility limitations and isn’t built for long walks, but he enjoys time in spacious yards and is leash trained. While he can be around other dogs, they tend to make him nervous, and he is not a fan of cats, so he would do best as the only furry family member in the home. Chappy’s journey has been full of challenges, but his joyful spirit never wavered. He’s a truly special dog who will bring endless love and companionship to a very lucky home.
