Meet Chalupa
About Chalupa
Chalupa’s story began when he was found as a stray on someone’s porch, clearly in need of help. It didn’t take long after arriving at Hearts United for Animals for staff to realize something more serious was going on. After thorough testing, Chalupa was diagnosed with kidney failure, along with a plastic allergy, and now requires ongoing care including fluids three times a week and daily eye medication.
Despite everything he faces, Chalupa is nothing short of remarkable. He approaches each day with a bright, easygoing spirit and a gentle heart. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or people, Chalupa is happy to make friends with just about anyone. His resilience and affectionate nature have made him a favorite among staff and volunteers alike.
Because of his medical needs, Chalupa is not available for adoption, but he has found a safe and loving home right here at HUA. As a Sanctuary Sweetheart, he will continue to receive the care and comfort he needs while living life on his own happy terms.
