Meet Alex

Alex was a feral cat when he came to the HUA shelter. Most of his time was spent on the perches in the cat room, away from people. He now ventures out at times if there are treats involved, and he loves the climbing towers and the other cats.  Over the years, Alex has continued to show disdain for humans.  He does not lash out or make a scene, but he makes it clear that he does not care for our company and relaxes fully only when we leave his space.  He is happy living in the HUA cat room where everything is comfortable and familiar to him.  His best days are spent out on the Catio with the sun beaming down upon him.  It is there where Alex can be left alone to pursue his treasured peace and quiet.  This quirky cat who we adore (and who does not adore us) is content to keep HUA as his forever home. As a Sanctuary Sweetheart Alex’s remaining days will be spent in his special room with his kitty friends and his ability to live life on his own terms.
