One would never know it by looking at his pictures, but Admiral was so frightened when he arrived at HUA that he was almost entirely shut down. He had been on a euthanasia list in a high kill shelter, and he was damaged by that experience and quite possibly, his life before he was captured. Lots of love and kindness from his caregivers and our volunteers helped Admiral get his bounce back and now he is doing so much better. He has learned that toys are awesome and that he is allowed to run and play. We don't even want to think about what this darling pup went through before we met him, but we are thrilled with the progress he has made. A family of his own will make Admiral the happiest guy around.
