Koa was rescued, along with 43 other Aussies, from a terrible puppy mill in the midwest. Like the others, his coat was clumped and matted, his nails were too long and he had insect bites on the tips of his ears. Koa is absolutely gorgeous, and he is very sweet, but he is still very shy around people. He does not yet understand that toys are fun. He does not yet understand that he is safe with humans who love him. Koa takes great comfort in the company of other dogs, though. We are working with this dear boy to help him to see the good things in life. An understanding family with a fenced-in yard, another dog and no small children would be just right for Koa. He will need patience and understanding from people who will love him enough to give him the time he needs to become a happy and carefree boy.Adopt Me »
