Meet Sunny Day
About Sunny Day
Sunny Day came to HUA from a horrible hoarding situation. She was, by far, the most fearful of the group and it was not until she spent some time in the foster home on campus that she really came out of her shell. There, she learned all about love and safety. She gets along with both large and small dogs and has no problem with cats. We keep a crate in Sunny Day’s apartment as she sees it as her “safe pace,” and she will go into it when she feels overwhelmed. We encourage this because it is her way of communicating. Sunny adores her caregivers, loves to be held, and loves treats and toys. We have discovered that she will willingly do her potty business outside as long as her roommate is out with her. Sunny Day is still learning the ways of the world, and another dog in her home will help her adjust quickly.
Becoming an HUA Buddy changes a life. For a monthly donation, you can befriend a dog or cat in need of some love and support until your fuzzy pal is adopted.
