About Squire

Squire and Puka came from a home.  The person had become unable to care for himself and the dogs.  They were in desperate need of grooming and Squire needed surgery to fix a double cherry eye, but nonetheless both of these darling dogs are precious.  Squire was pretty shy and reserved when he arrived but he is very sweet and loving once he feels secure with a person.  This dog is so funny–he is convinced that he is human and should be treated as such.  Squire will not eat his food out of a dog bowl.  He prefers that we serve him on a more dignified placemat.  His favorite thing to do is hang out in one of the hallway chairs watching people and other dogs busily go about the day.  We just love this quirky little dog and look forward to amusing updates from his new family.

Buddy Message:

His buddies, Chuck and Lyn Mohr from Albuquerque, NM, sent him this message:

“You’re in our thoughts and prayers. It just gets better from here…just ask Benny, Cocoa, Jellybean, Nova and Abby Poodle! All our love, The Mohr family”

Squire sends lots of love to the Mohrs!
