About Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia was abandoned by his owner and left with a person who was not able to keep him.  He is one dramatic Shiba – fitting descriptions of the breed to a tee.  He squeals when he has feelings of any kind – when he’s hungry, when he wants to go outside, when he wants to play…Nova will let you know.  He came in with Artic, another sweet Shiba, but they are not bonded and they do not live together now.  He does well with other dogs, but too much “in your face” scares him.  Nova Scotia’s previous owners advised that he is an escape artist, so he is living in jump proof quarters here at the shelter.  We have not seen any escape attempts but Shibas are known to be wily little foxes, so a 6 foot fence in the back yard will be a must for this funny little dog.
