I'm going home!
Meet Magpie
About Magpie
Magpie spent the first seven years of her life in a puppy mill. She was used for breeding purposes, churning out puppy after puppy for profit. Magpie is still terrified of humans. It is about the saddest thing ever. She is very sweet and allows us to handle her with no resistance, but she does not want us to. Kind gestures and reassuring words do nothing for Magpie. She is beginning to enjoy being outdoors and she joins in doggy playgroup, but she mostly keeps to herself. We often bring Magpie to the sun porch during lunch time but the poor darling just hovers in a corner, not wanting to engage or even be seen. We have hope for Magpie. It will take a quiet, loving, patient family to help this precious little Beagle girl gain confidence and to finally be able to experience joy, but we are confident that trust and love can break through her sadness.
