About Kona Kay

Kona Kay was left at the HUA shelter by people who could no longer take care of her. This large and lovely dog is one fun kid. Kona Kay is energetic, loves treats, humans, and runs like the wind with her beloved toys. We’re working with her on her leash skills – she gets so excited to go play outdoors that she can barely contain herself. She is a good girl in the car and enjoys going for rides around campus. Kona Kay would like to be the only dog in her new home, and she promises she will provide all of the love and affection her new family will ever need.

Becoming an HUA Buddy changes a life. For a monthly donation, you can befriend a dog or cat in need of some love and support until your fuzzy pal is adopted.

Buddy Message:

Her buddy, Sherri Shipp from Lincoln, NE, sent her this message:

“Kona Kay you are such a beautiful girl with wonderful sparkling eyes. I used to have a St. Bernard puppy and I know that you will make a tremendous addition to a loving family. Praying that you find a home soon and receive all the love and care that you rightly deserve.”

Kona Kay sends hugs and kisses to Sherri!
