About Elenora

We recently rescued a group of Aussies who were living in poor conditions. The owner had passed away and the remaining relatives were overwhelmed trying to care for the six dogs who had never received proper care to begin with. It is possible that this was a bad breeding/hoarding situation and the Aussies were being labeled as “feral.” We were not surprised when they arrived at the shelter completely unsocialized and rather like wild animals. Elenora, who is breathtakingly beautiful, is warming up nicely. She gets very excited when a caregiver approaches and now invites lots of pets and ear scratches. She and the other pups love treats, so that is helping them come around to fully trusting us. Toys are still a mystery, but as long as the dogs are happy, we’re happy.  Elenora is ready to go to her new home.  She loves other dogs so a fuzzy sibling to help her adjust would be wonderful for her.
