About Drexel

Drexel and his three siblings were turned in to Animal Control, who called the local pound to announce that they had to “get out.” Each sibling was in worse shape than the first. They were matted, filthy, scared and clearly quite neglected. Drexel is very attached to humans so we have been encouraging him to explore a bit and step out of his comfort zone.  At this time he needs comforting and reassurance and thankfully, he turns toward people rather than away so that is a great start.  Drexel feels best when he is on a lap, and he loves car rides around the campus with his caregiver, looking out the window to try to figure out what all this freedom is about.  Drexel loves the other little dogs as well but he’ll take a human over a fuzzy friends every day of the week.  Naturally we are all in love with this adorable little dog who needs us so much.

Becoming an HUA Buddy changes a life. For a monthly donation, you can befriend a dog or cat in need of some love and support until your fuzzy pal is adopted.

Buddy Message:

His buddy, Debra Overland from Watertown, MA, sent him this message:

“Oh Drexel! You are such a sweet boy. Rocco and I hope that you get your forever home soon. You deserve love and freedom forever!”

Drexel sends Debra and Rocco lots of hugs and kisses!
