About Calliope

Calliope was brought to HUA by a person who took her from a friend and then quickly found out that a puppy is a lot of work.  When this most darling baby dog arrived we were all over her because nobody at HUA is immune to the sweet, sweet smell of puppy breath.  Her little tail was going a mile a minute, she covered us in kisses, and we passed her around like a fuzzy, wriggling football.  Everyone got a turn with Calliope.  After she had had her fill of the humans, we made Calliope a warm and cozy bed and gave her some new toys to keep her company while she was napping.  That was when a caregiver spotted the bald spots.  UGH – Calliope had ringworm and the humans were about to break out as well.  This poor puppy had to go into isolation, but she didn’t really care about that because she had everything she needed, including a string of visitors, the best of the tasty treats and all the toys she could ever have hoped for.  Our precious baby girl has been medically cleared and we are now allowed to continue with our Rottie puppy obsession.
