Jai was rescued, along with 43 other Aussies, from a terrible puppy mill in the midwest. Like the others, his coat was clumped and matted, his nails were too long and he had insect bites on the tips of his ears. Jai spent the first five years of his life living in filth with no kind human contact, and it shows. He is open to letting us get to know him but he is still somewhat shut down. Jai does not understand that he is safe and that nobody will hurt him but he wants badly to show us that he can be brave. This beautiful Aussie would do best with another, more confident dog to show him how to trust. A fenced-in yard is a must for Jai to ensure his safety. We have high hopes for this special boy as he learns to understand that there is nothing but love and kindness in his future.Adopt Me »
