Wandy was rescued from a horrible puppy mill. Dogs there lived in mud up to their elbows. They had never been socialized and were terrified of human beings. Staff and volunteers worked relentlessly to help these poor creatures understand kindness and care. Wandy is more confident than some of her shepherd friends. She can still startle in an unfamiliar situation but is showing a lot of improvement. She does very well on her leash and enjoys affection from caregivers and volunteers. This gorgeous girl is an athlete--she loves to run and play. Like most GSD's, Wandy is smart, watchful and observant. She is looking for a person to love and a job to do. We think Wandy will thrive in a home - preferably with another dog to help her adjust - once she understands that she is a member of the family. It is what she longs for.
