Holiday Billboards are Back!

Uncategorized 10 Comments

They’re back!  This year we have several different designs rotating on a digital billboard at I-80 and 84th Street in Omaha.  The campaign is running from Thanksgiving through Christmas.  With the help of Lamar Outdoor and Immediate Solutions we have created several different types of eye-catching messages to inform over 80,000 travelers per day about puppy mills.  We are hoping that our “Don’t Shop.  Adopt.”  campaign will make people think twice about buying that darling pet store puppy for Christmas.  Our very own Renella is a mother of puppies sold to a pet store near the location of the billboard.  For the sake of all mothers like Renella, trapped for years in puppy mills, we want people to realize that buying puppies makes the misery continue for hundreds of thousands of dogs like her.   Click here to donate to future billboard or television advertising campaigns.

Here is Renella’s picture and message:

Here are our other messages.  Let us know which one is your favorite.  We are considering making the favorite into a bumper sticker!

They’re all really good, but personally I am partial to the one with the Dachshund (probably because I have two of my own). Good luck with the billboard, it sounds awesome!

For a bumper sticker…it has to be Don’t Shop Adopt, it will tickle you pink. This would be easy to read and fun. Otherwise, they are all good for billboards

Please tell me how to obtain some bumper stickers as soon as possible. I was hoping to send them out to friends for Christmas.

Hi Nancy, We haven’t made bumper stickers yet, just throwing it out as an idea to see if there is interest. It won’t be in time for Christmas but if we do decide to do it we will post on our blog and Facebook. Thanks so much!

I agree with Nancy. Please let me know when you do, and if you need a donation to help create them. I will be happy to donate and pay to have some sent to me.

I like the first one, mother of pet store puppies. Puppy mills aren’t cute. I think it’s important to send the message about the reality.

I agree with Marcy, the first one tells the story best. We have 2 rescue dogs and they are very greatful to be with us.

The first one is the best in my opinion. It demonstrates the truth, the reality. Puppy mills are filthy vile places of unspeakable cruelty. People need to know this, to see the evidence of this assertion, and photographs help to do this. Cutesy does not work for me.

“Meet the Mother of Pet Store Puppies” is the best because these people need to stop abusing animals and propheting off of them!
