HOMEWARD BOUND - ADOPTED - now living happily in Auburn, NE!
In his original home George was hit by a car. The damage to one of his front legs was atrocious. It looked bent at a 90 degree angle midway in a lower bone, and he had bumped this protrusion until it was raw and bloody. No one could believe the bone wasn’t broken, but somehow it wasn’t. George’s family could not handle his care and turned him over to some devoted rescuers who brought him to HUA. Time had passed after the injury causing George a horrible amount of suffering. There was nothing that could be done to repair his leg, and it had to be amputated. Healing took place, and George does very well on three legs. He is such an agreeable fellow, just the sweetest big boy anyone can imagine. All the HUA caregivers adore him and wish him well in a great home, which he so much deserves.
