Bear is a most glorious looking animal. Breathtaking, actually, but the poor dog has had his fair share of scuffles. When he lived in his home, Bear attacked a very small dog in the vet's office and he also bit a man in his house. There has been talk over whether these incidents were related to his neutering but nonetheless they happened. When he was brought to the shelter Bear was depressed and anxious. He required some work to get to the point where he was able to enjoy life again. Now he flies around the place without a care in the world. He has his favorite ball with his name written on it and Bear would play fetch for days if he could. He is a very smart, vert astute boy who will shower you with kisses if you ask nicely, and he knows to sit, shake, and wait. Bear still has a tendency to be grumbly sometimes with strangers but we haven't seen any of the behavior he has displayed in the past. It's more of a fear response that he gets over almost immediately. Bear can probably go to a home with another larger dog, but he must meet any potential fuzzy siblings beforehand, and he should not be around small children or small animals. We know this beautiful boy is a tad bit complicated but Bear is so loving and genuine--a home that's the right fit for him will make him deliriously happy.
