Cairo was surrendered to a friend in rescue when his family was no longer able to care for him properly. This beautiful boy's feelings were hurt and it took him a little while to gain back his confidence. He is still a bit nervous when first approached, but he quickly decided a human is good and adores cuddling once trust has been established. Cairo was born with a malformed front leg that had to be amputated but that has no affect on his ability to happily zip and zoom. He does very well with most other dogs and is even nice to kitties. He loves the dog park -- meeting new friends is Cairo's cup of tea. Because he has a shy streak, Cairo would do best in a family with no young or excitable children, and he would love another dog to welcome him into his new home.
