About Sarge

Sarge was found as a stray in a small town near the HUA shelter. He was soon adopted and he bonded strongly with the man of the house, so much so that Sarge did not want to share him with other family members and Sarge was brought back to HUA. This handsome hound dog is really quite delightful. He’s happy, playful, loves being outdoors, and woo woo woo’s like any good hound should. He is very treat motivated and easy to train. He gets along with some other dogs but he can be a bit picky as to whom he chooses for a canine friend. He may be happier as an only child. The best home for this lovely boy would be a moderately active person or persons who will give Sarge the confidence and training he needs to become a good family pup. Sarge is so special that he was made with a perfect heart shape on his right side. Love is for sure in the cards for this gorgeous boy.

Buddy Message:

His buddy, Julie Pittenger from Lincoln, NE, sent him this message:

“Your sweet face spoke to me because we have a “coonhound” too and love him so much…wish we could bring you home too! Hope being your “buddy” gives you lots of special treats and snuggles!”

Sarge sends hugs and wags to Julie!
