Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska

Palmer's mom and dad were running the streets of a small village. They were hungry, filthy and mom was very pregnant. Fortunately a kind stranger brought them to HUA so that Palmer and his 4 siblings could be born into an environment of love and care. Their family tree is very eclectic. Mom is a Jack Russell terrier mix and dad is a Dachshund mix. Variety is the spice of life with these cuties! They are all so different and adorable, and they asked us to point out that mixed breed dogs are known to be healthier and have less genetic defects than their purebred pals. All of the pups are super fun-loving and sweet. They adore their caregivers and think that every time is play time! They are tiny now but are expected to be about 10 to 15 pounds when fully grown.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Linda Hadden, from Transylvania, LA, sent him this message: "Hi Palmer. As your new buddy, I wanted to say you have such a sweet face. I am sure you will find a forever home soon. Sending lots of hugs and belly rubs to you." Palmer sends Linda TONS of tiny puppy kisses and many happy tail wags!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
