Homeward bound-adopted!

Gadget and her buddy Gizmo were surrendered to HUA when their family fell on such hard times that they were unable to feed even the tiniest of mouths. It was a sad, sad day for everyone, but these kids bounced back so nicely and they are just the most adorable little pups. Gadget is 100% lap dog. She loves loves loves being carried around, looking down on the bigger dogs and being entertained by the goings on. She is so teeny tiny that it's almost like carrying a puff of air. She is quite the lovebug and will reward a belly scratch with gentle, itty bitty kisses. Gadget has luxating patellas (bad knees), which is very common in small dogs. She gets around perfectly well, however, and does not require additional care or even medication. G and G do not have to be adopted together; both are happy just to be with humans and will expect only full-on spoiling in their new homes.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Heather Vanderslice, from Seward, NE, sent her this message: "Dear little Gadget, I'm so sorry you lost your home, but you are such a darling girl that I'm positive a new family will fall in love with you soon and invite you to be their permanent lap fixture! Until they, I'd love to be your Buddy! Keep smiling, little girl!" Gadget sends Heather many tiny kisses and grateful little hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
