Doogan

be my buddy
Puggle
Born: 04/04/2008
Small
17 lbs
Male

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Have you ever seen such a wildly happy grin? What a funny boy our Doogan is. He is a playful, goofy fella who knows nothing but good times. Doogan was found as a stray and taken to the pound in a town close to the shelter. When the call came that there was a silly Puggle looking for some help, we ran to the rescue. That decision turned out to be a great one. Doogan cracks us up. He is a spunky love bug with not a care in the world. He loves to romp about the yard, ears up and head cocked, just waiting for something fantastic to happen. There is a sweet energy about him that is hard to describe - it feels like happiness is all around him. Because of his great appreciation for life and his refusal to let anything bring him down, not every dog in the place loves him. Some think his outlook is a little too positive. Some think he should tone down the love a little bit. Some do not appreciate his constant quest for fun. Others think he is a BLAST and love to play his games. Therefore, Doogs can certainly go to a home with another dog, but we need to make sure that it's a good fit for everyone. Doogan is SO EXCITED at the prospect of a new home and we are just as excited to find him one.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddies, Beth and Oliver Christ, from Lincoln, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Hello there you sweet little Doogan! When I read more about you, you sound just like my Beagle Oliver back when he was a pup! I know you will find a forever home soon! Keep up the positive attitude!! :)" Doogan sends Beth and Oliver many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
