Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living in Massachusetts.

One look at this darling face and we were done for. The local pound called us about Bentley, who was running on the streets and brought in by the nice person who saved him. His owners were never located, and the people at the pound knew that he must be given a chance for a good life. Bentley is an all-around great guy. He must have been with a family who loved him, because he has all the nice manners of dog who is accustomed to attention. He loves walking on the leash, he just adores all the people he meets, and he has excellent house manners. We're sad that this smart little guy turned up in the pound, but happy knowing that soon we will find him a great new home. Bentley likes most of the other dogs here, but there are a few that he prefers not to hang out with. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind his preferences; he just sort of likes who he likes. It would be a good idea for Bentley to meet any future fur siblings at HUA before going home for good. As for humans - well, he can and will charm his way into anybody's heart just as he has done with the staff and volunteers here at the shelter.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddies, Laurie Leseth and Peg O'Neill, from Ft. Calhoun, sent him this message: "Bentley,we send lots of love to you and we know you will find your forever home soon!!!" Bentley sends Laurie and Peg many little hugs and grateful kisses!
His Buddy, Camille Brady, from Lincoln, NE, sent him this message: "Bentley your eyes are absolutely mesmerizing and I would love to go on a nice walk with you and then sit and soak up the sun a while. Hopefully we can do this soon when I can come back to volunteer. I hope you find a forever home soon with a family that will love you unconditionally and give you all the lovin' that you deserve." Bentley can't wait for Camille to visit again and take him walking, and sends her big happy kisses and many grateful hugs until that time!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
