Juanita

Juanita came from the home of a person who collected many more animals than they could care for. They were all in very bad condition when they arrived at HUA. Juanita was an older gal who just did not have many inquiries for adoption. We held out hope that it would happen for her some day. However when Juanita began to rapidly lose weight and it was discovered that she had developed diabetes we knew she should have a home immediately in order to be able to pull through and thrive.

Juanita is now in a permanent foster home close to the shelter where her medical needs are provided for by the HUA veterinarian. She adores her foster mom and is so happy to be where she has round the clock love, care and devotion. After Juanita's very rough life it is our pleasure to provide her all she needs to be happy, healthy and content. She is a dear, sweet girl with a heart of gold.
