The injury was as devastating as we expected but what we did not expect was her attitude of total joy. Joyful loves everyone and everything. She had to have her back leg amputated because it was awkward and unbalanced. Even after the terrible surgery she was loving and grateful. She is the personification of joy. We cannot imagine how she possesses such joy given what she has been through and such betrayal by the people she loved. We cannot say enough about this extraordinary dog.
