Howie
Howie came to the shelter in 1997. He was found in the country where he had been abandoned. As is the fate of so many large male dogs, Howie was never to be adopted. Fortunately for Howie he was brought to HUA. If Howie would have been taken to any other shelter in the area he would have had a 3 day stay to make sure owners wouldn't claim him and then he would have been killed. Howie has been happily living life at HUA for nearly 10 years now. He has been here for so long that he would be devastated if he had to leave. He has an established routine of insulting all of the other dogs at least daily, going for walks in the big fields by himself or with the humans, and receiving as much love and attention as a senior fellow could ever want. He thinks the treats are pretty tasty here too!
We are happy to have Howie as part of our forever family at HUA. He will be well cared for and adored for the rest of his days.
