Homeward Bound - Adopted.

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska!

There were over 500 dogs at the puppy mill in Nebraska. HUA has been working to convince the breeder to let the dogs go and so far has obtained freedom for 350 dogs. They won't stop until they are all free like Colin. Colin spent his puppy hood in a cage and is shy from not having exposure to people. He's learning though that people are fun and will give him good treats and great toys. And he loves to go outside and run - chase is his favorite game. He is so darling he could be a movie star! Just look at that face - love at first sight.

Colin is a Maltese Poodle mix. He was born on 5/10/2007 and weighs 9.4 pounds.

Colin is so happy that he has Buddies!

His Buddy, Ingelore Pohlmann, from Winfield, Illinois, sent him this message: "I just discovered that Dior - Colin - Frosty don't have buddies. So I want to be their buddy. Please give each of them hugs and kisses from me. I am sure that someone will come to give them a forever home soon." Colin sends Ingelore many happy, grateful Maltese boy kisses.

His Buddy, Cinda Godfrey, from New Philadelphia, Ohio, sent him this message: "Hi Colin, You are just the cutest baby boy in the whole wide world and so blessed to be rescued by HUA. They love you and I love you, too. My three dogs send you lots of love as well. I would adopt you in a heartbeat, but I'm afraid flying in a jet might traumatize you again and I want all your days to be sunny and fun. I'll be checking on you and pray you get a forever home very, very soon. From Cinda Godfrey in Ohio" Colin sends Cinda and her three sweeties many happy, grateful kisses.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
