Bart Homeward Bound - Adopted. Now living happily in Littleton, Colorado! What happened to Bart is almost too sad to write. It's too sad for you to read. But if he could endure it, then we must face it. Bart was in a horrid puppy mill in Nebraska for 11 years. We can't imagine what he did or what the miller was angry about but for some reason he kicked him in the head so viciously that it broke his jaw in several places and caused him to go blind. His jaw was so severely broken that some of the pieces could not be put back together. He will only be able to eat soft food for the rest of his life. He's also almost deaf. The damage to his jaw went untreated and resulted in fistulas. We can't even comprehend the pain he must have suffered. In spite of this horror, he is sweet and calm. He intitially steers away from people but then comes back and enjoys being loved. Bart deserves a home where he is treated like prince. Bart is a Dachshund who was born on 7.8.1997 and weighs about 8 pounds. Bart is so happy that he has Buddies!! His Buddy, Tom Lucey, from Grafton, Massachusetts, sent him this message: "I cant understand why anybody would hurt this little dog hope you can find him a good home." Bart sends Tom many grateful Dachshund boy kisses and hugs. His Buddy, Kay Stemnock, from Chicago, Illinois, sent him this message: "Dear Bart, I am so sorry for what you suffered at the hands of a so-called human being. I am hoping all your handling from now on is the gentlest. Kay Stemnock" Bart sends Kay many sweet, grateful Dachshund kisses. His Buddy, Iris Rich, from Cumming, Georgia, sent him this message: "Bart! You are the most special weenie Prince and we know that you will find a home that will be your new kingdom. Sending all our love, The weiner pack in Georgia" Bart sends Iris and her lovely weiner crew many grateful kisses and tail wags.
